About the Position

Nowhere Networks is looking for a curious and responsible NOC Technician who wants to ensure that vessel customers always have stable internet connectivity around the clock, year-round. You will work in the Network Operations Center (NOC), a central role where you monitor the network in real-time, capture alarms, troubleshoot deviations, and ensure that issues are handled quickly and accurately.

This is a perfect role for someone with a strong interest in computers and a foot in the networking world who wants to continue growing in a dynamic environment. Every day presents new scenarios, and you will be at the heart of the flow with direct contact with technicians, customers, and colleagues. In short – you keep the operations together and are the first to act when something happens.

Your Future Responsibilities The role means that you are the first to act during operational disturbances; you troubleshoot initially, escalate if necessary, and ensure that all network services are running as they should. You are expected to be self-driven, structured, and not afraid to tackle problems as they arise.

Examples of tasks:

• Monitor the network in real-time through our monitoring systems
• Capture alarms and coordinate actions during network outages or operational disturbances
• Troubleshoot simpler network issues and document technical deviations
• Create tickets in the system, communicate with customers and internal technicians
• Work closely with the network team to handle more complex issues
• Proactively work on improving monitoring routines and operational processes

We are looking for someone who has a strong technical interest – preferably in networking – and enjoys the idea of having an overview and control over a complex technical ecosystem. You have likely already worked in a NOC role or held a support role focused on network operations.

We would like you to have:

• Some form of work experience in NOC, operations, IT support, or similar
• Interest in networks and understanding of how IP, Layer 2 & 3, and routing work
• Good structuring and documentation skills
• Ability to take responsibility and act directly on problems
• Fluent Swedish and English in both speech and writing

Preferred:

• Network-related education
• Experience in real-time troubleshooting
• Background from smaller network companies or telecom environments with operational responsibility
